AVATR 06

The Avatr 06 is a mid-sized luxury sports sedan. It is available with both fully electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV) options. The car is designed by Avatr Technology, a joint company formed by Changan, CATL, and Huawei that provides key tech features. 

The car boasts a sleek look focused on luxury and the latest technology, including Huawei’s smart driving system. It is designed to rival electric sedans like the Tesla Model 3 and Zeekr 007.

Engine and Performance

Under the bonnet, the Avatr 06 engine is the fully electric version. It uses a lithium-iron-phosphate battery sourced from CATL, with a capacity of 72.88 kWh. The rear-wheel drive model with a single motor offers 338 hp and a range of about 650 km on a full charge, according to standard tests. 

The all-wheel drive version features a second motor at the front with 252 hp, giving a combined output of 590 horsepower. Its range drops slightly to around 600 km. Both versions support ultra-fast charging with an 800V system.

Regarding Avatr 06 specifications for the EREV version, it adds a 310 hp electric motor paired with a 154 hp turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine that acts as a range extender. Its 31.7 kWh battery enables about 170 km of pure electric driving. When the electric range is used up, the petrol engine kicks in to keep the car moving.

Safety

Safety is a top priority in the Avatr 06. It has a sturdy body made from steel and aluminium, with special high-strength steel components. It comes equipped with nine airbags for full protection. The car features advanced driver-assistance systems, including Huawei’s ADS 3.0, which uses multiple sensors and LiDAR for collision prevention and semi-autonomous driving.

Features and Specifications

The Avatr 06 interior comes with a luxurious and comfortable cabin that feels like a “mobile wellness sanctuary.” It is wrapped with soft-touch materials covering seven square metres of the total area. Customers can choose a red interior design. The front seats use zero-gravity technology and include a 16-point massage feature. 

Other Avatr 06 features include a premium Meridian sound system with 25 speakers, offering 7.1.4 surround sound at 2,016 watts. The infotainment system runs on Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS. The smart-powered doors come with obstacle detection and a digital rearview mirror for live streaming.

The Avatr 06 exterior offers a modern, futuristic look. It features LED running lights, a compact silhouette, wide sculpted arches, and flush door handles. There are options like electronic side mirrors, a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, and a “star-arc” floating roof. Colours available include coral red, black, grey, white, and Avatr’s signature cloud purple.
